
This code of conduct is intended to establish a positive framework for all activities of the Tampa Bay Blizzard players & their families, both on & off the ice. It applies at all times we, as a team, are together at all rinks, restaurants or events we may travel to.
Players and Parents
Players will not throw, or in any other way, abuse equipment on or off the ice. This includes sticks, helmets and other pieces of equipment. Absolutely no playing or throwing tape balls.
Players will not use abusive language directed at other players, coaches, officials or parents.
Players will arrive at the rink 1 hour before game time and at least ½ hour before practice and must be dressed and ready to skate at least 10 minutes before each game or practice session.
Players will address all coaches as "coach".
Next level team captains are required to be at all practice sessions for all lower level teams. Peewee captain will be at squirt practice.
All players are responsible to dress & pack their own equipment. all equipment must be usa hockey approved and no child will be allowed to skate, in games or practice, unless they have full equipment on.
All players must be USA Hockey registered to play.
Players will remain on the bench at all times during games unless given permission by the coach to leave.
Parents are asked to remain out of the locker room 15 minutes prior to games and 10 minutes after games.
Players will remain in the locker room while getting dressed for games until the whole team is ready to enter the ice.
The team captain and assistants are responsible for the condition of the locker room after all practice and games, and shall remain in the locker room until all other teammates have left.
The team captain is responsible for pre-ice stretching, and all players will give him the respect of a coach.
Disruptive players will be asked to leave the Blizzard program. There are no refunds for players asked to leave the program.
Although all efforts will be given to insure equal playing time for all members of the team, ice time will be at the sole discretion of each coach.
Hockey is a team sport & practice is an essential part of competing. Remember, missed practices = missed game time or games.
At no time will problems or complaints be discussed during games or in front of any players. Please, only speak to the coaching staff about issues concerning your children's on ice performance.
